Term LimitsUSA.org is a grassroots movement driven to add a 28th Amendment to the Constitution that establishes congressional term limits. I request that you support and become a force in Congress to help establish this amendment. The actual proposed amendment can be found at termlimitsusa.org.
This amendment accomplishes three goals:
Term limits: A four-year term with a total length of service of twelve years.
Pension System: The Pension System will be discontinued with current members being grandfathered into the CFRS system. New members will be afforded the following benefit:
One term of service: No benefit
Two and three terms of service: Receive benefit equal to one month of salary to help transition out of public service.
Campaigns contributions: Campaign contributions, following contribution limits established by current law, can be made only by residents of the representative’s state and businesses and unions headquartered in that state. Business employees and Union members can make campaign contributions as individuals, not as part of the business or union.
Our country needs term limits. I expect you, as my elected representative, to be an active participant in this process. I also expect you to fully engage with our state governor and legislators to get the needed three-fourth of the state’s approval so this will become our 28th Amendment to the Constitution.

Al congresista Fulano de Tal,
Term LimitsUSA.org es un movimiento de base impulsado para agregar una 28ª Enmienda a la Constitución que establece límites a los mandatos del Congreso. Les pido que apoyen y se conviertan en una fuerza en el Congreso para ayudar a establecer esta enmienda. La enmienda propuesta puede consultarse en termlimitsusa.org.
Esta enmienda logra tres objetivos:
1. Límites de mandato: Un mandato de cuatro años con una duración total del servicio de (ocho o doce años, determinados durante el proceso) para ambas Cámaras.
